Champions Trophy 2025:ICC CEO Geoff Allardice resigns amid stadium readiness concerns in Pakistan, Says Report.

The preparation of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which is going to be held in Pakistan is now surrounded by a new controversy. According to a new report, the conditions of the stadium in Pakistan and mismanagement in the early stages created a crisis, due to which ICC CEO, Geoff Allardice, had to resign a few months before the start of the tournament.

So far no official reason has been given for Allardice’s resignation, according to reports it is seen that he was under a lot of pressure from the ICC board, which was due to mishandling of funds in the USA for the 2022 T20 World Cup and the secret preparations for the Champions Trophy. According to these reports, Allardice did not inform the board that the two venues in Rawalpindi and Karachi would not be ready in time for the Champions Trophy.
